Lockdown 2020 – Fun in the Garden – 15th April 2020

Another chilled out day. Bella started her morning happily watching Disney+. She wanted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I left her in the living room watching Mickey Mouse while I went to sit in the dinning room and blogged. It’s been nice having a little space and time to blog while Bella entertains herself. Being able to blog while enjoying a cup of tea and go through the days.

While I was blogging I saw on Bella’s nursery page there was a video of all her nursery teachers doing one of those toilet roll videos.  I don’t know if you’ve seen them. It was really cute. Soon after I saw the video, the nursery mums WhatApp group blew up. One of the mums had come up with the idea for us to make a video back to the nursery staff of all the kids.

I showed Bella the video and she told me all of the staffs names. I asked her if she’d like to help make a video back. We decided that she would paint a rainbow. As us group of mums had decided that all the kids would hold their rainbow pictures and wave at the camera to show their teachers their ok.

We set about painting our rainbow. Bella sat up to the table and I helped her paint her rainbow. I let her know which colour came next.

The rainbow was finished so I popped it on the side to dry ready for us to film with later.

While we were waiting for the rainbow to dry we popped outside to see what Daly was up to. He was outside on the drive washing the car. Bella was running around on the drive and every now and then Daly would spray Bella with the hose. She was running around screaming. It was so cute. She loves playing with her dad.

Finally the rainbow was dry and Bella was in dry clothes. We headed outside into the sunny garden to film Bella’s piece for the video. She wanted to play on the swing so I had to get her to hold her picture while she swung back and forth.

She got fed up of the swing so found her broom and was sweeping the patio. We are so lucky we have a garden during this time. It means Bella is able to get her fresh air and run around and play. And it also means I don’t have to leave the house. I’ve been trying to build up the confidence to take Bella for a walk over in the orchards behind us as a change of scenery. But I haven’t managed it yet.

As it was such a nice day I brought the lounger out into the garden so I could chill out with Bella, enjoy the sunshine while Bella played. She brought her make up out and set up a little boutique on the patio table. She wasn’t happy I would let her paint her nails but I found the hairdressing head she had got for Christmas and told her she could do her make up.

After a bit of make up, she wanted to join me on the lounger. She snuggled up behind me on the lounger but it meant I wasn’t able to relax otherwise I’d squish her. And probably the whole thing would have fallen over backwards.

It was nice being outside enjoying the weather. Let’s hope it keeps up.

Stay safe.

Night all and let’s see what adventures tomorrow holds for us.

Love CiCi x
