The title says back to normal but it’s been a bank holiday and its half term. But today has been a bit more like our normal days rather than Bella being ill or going to the cinema or having a games night.
This morning Daly needed to drop Oli and Rachel their BBQ back now he’d finally finished cleaning it. When he got back from dropping the BBQ off he came back home. We were chilling on the sofa watching CBeebies and Daly came in a laid on another of the sofas relaxing before we set back out and continued with the jobs for the day.
We relaxed for an hour and then Daly got Bella dressed while I got myself dressed. For some reason when we tried to get Bella out of the house she was hysterical thinking I wasn’t going with them. I had to take her round to her seat in the car just to calm her down.
Our first job of the day was to do our shopping. We went to ASDA to pick up all the fresh bits. So we bought all the fruit and veg and also things like milk and bread. We also came away with a lot of cakes. Suppose it doesn’t help that Daly has a sweet tooth and I like to munch on cakes as a little snack.
Next up we hit Food Warehouse to get all our frozen food. Daly was actually extremely helpful. He kept suggesting ideas for dinner and it was really great. Hes actually helping with meals so I dont have to think of them all. It’s nice that we can do this stuff together. God we are such a married couple!
Once we’d finished our shopping we thought we’d stop by the pub to grab a burger. Luckily it wasn’t too hot outside so I wasn’t too worried about the food defrosting while we were at the pub.
We stopped and saw Dawn, Cathy and Nathan. While we were enjoying our food Bella raised the toy box. She found a dog that talks when you press different parts of his body. Daly had bought Bella one when she was about 6 months old. It was so cute she was playing it the courtyard with it and every now and then shed curl up on the floor with him as if she was going to sleep.
After a while we decided we should probably go home. We didn’t want the food to defrost and all our food to go to waste. We said our goodbyes and headed off.
When we got home Daly unpacked the car and I put all the shopping away in the kitchen. Boring mundane married stuff.
Not long after we got home our friends Jake and Shaunagh turned up for a bit. Jake had come to offer some advice on the garden as that’s what he does for a living. They had brought their dog with them. I’ve come to the conclusion I’m not a dog person. I’m not even sure if I like dogs. Shaunagh and I chatted while Jake played with Bella. It was nice to have friends round. They couldn’t stay for long as they had plans but it was still nice.
Daly had brought his DVDs out so Bella could select a film to watch. While Jake and Shaunagh were round she had chosen Sinbad. Once that film had finished Bella chose the Simpson movie. I do like that film, it’s funny.
It’s been a nice relaxing bank holiday and we even managed to get some jobs done. So a productive but relaxing day.
Anyways night all and let’s see what adventures tomorrow holds for us
