Babyballet star – 4th April 2019

Last day of activities before the Easter holidays start. Well we should go swimming tomorrow but we’ll see. Today was Bella’s last session of Babyballet before the Easter holidays and her last session at nursery.

She didn’t want to wake up this morning. She hadn’t slept so great last night, she had taken ages to sleep and insisted I stayed with her. So we snuggled up but it didn’t matter Daly had to be up early so at least that way he wasn’t waking me up. Bella struggled to wake up but of course as soon as I said I was going downstairs to get her ballet outfit she appeared at the top of the stairs crying for me. So back up I ran to grab her and bring her downstairs. She got dressed nicely even though she was still tired.

We got into the car and set off but not before I grabbed Bella an apple for breakfast. The traffic is shocking on a Thursday morning. Ballet is only a ten minute drive at most but I have to leave at least 25 minutes to get over to the hall because of how crazy the traffic is.

We made it to ballet and Bella ran off to hit the button for the automatic door and …. nothing. She kept hitting the button but nope, the door refused to open. In the end I had to pull it open.

We had a different teacher today as Bella’s normal teacher is on holiday. We had Miss Linda. Bella was very good in class. It had an Easter feel to it as it was their last session so there was lots of jumping like bunnies and we also had 5 little ducks going swimming.

Bella did very well with her good toes and naughty toes, her bends and points and tried very hard with her jumping. She did lots of jumping and really enjoyed it.

She struggled towards the end of class and became a bit restless but I was so proud with how well behaved she was during the class. Normally she struggles for the first 15 minutes and is then focused for the second half but today she focused for all but 5 minutes.

At the end of class everyone was presented with their membership packs and their certificate for the term. They also got a chocolate as a treat and of course their stickers that they receive at every class.

It was quite funny after class, all us mums were trying to get photos of our child with their certificate and of course none of them wanted to play ball. Luckily I took quite a few photos of Bella so I managed to get a nice one of her that I could send to people and put on my social media.

It’s bad, I’m already looking forward to her doing little ballet shows and there’s a few little bits of uniform I want to get for Bella and for myself. I mean I loved my little tracksuit when I cheered with my hoodie and joggers so I’d love Bella to have the same. And they do it on the website. They have little grey joggers and pink hoodies for girls (sadly Bella’s too small for the size of their boys blue hoodies although I’m a bit worried if the sizes are going to come up small on Bella with how long she is) I found a matching pink hoodie for me as well, of course I need to get in on the action. Sadly can’t afford it at the moment so we’ll have to wait.

After ballet it was home for lunch before nursery. We started to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom but Bella and I had to leave part way through to drop her at nursery. Once I’d dropped Bella, I came back home and Daly and I cuddled up on the sofa to watch the rest of the film.

That’s how our afternoon continued until Daly went and picked Bella up. When he walked back in the house I thought he’d forgotten Bella, there was no noise. Nope, Bella was shattered and falling asleep on Daly’s shoulder. But she’s a mummy’s girl so we spent the rest of the afternoon snuggled up on the sofa while Bella slept. Someone has had a very busy day and is very tired. Bless her.

Anyways, night all and let’s see what adventure tomorrow holds for us.

Love CiCi x
